My grandpa was a very friendly man who would talk to anyone. He had a great love of history, trivia, Westerns, country music, and working in his "Ham Shack" on his radios. He was a wonderful grandpa who loved us very much and was always excited to spend time with us. We will miss him. Love you, Grandpa.

Gary and I chased each other thru the labor market in CR over many years, WMT-TV, Kirkwood, real estate (Cedar Valley R E with Gary, Ken Vanous and me, to IE. Condolences to the family, and many friends. RIP Gary you are missed.

September 7,1953 was a day of apprehension for many of the Toddville High School kids who were about to consolidate with Alburnett students due to closure of Toddville High School. I can vividly recall the bus ride to Alburnett. The kids were talking, noisy and somewhat mischievous at the trips beginning, but as the bus neared Alburnett School (mile or so out) the noise, horse play stopped and there was very little soft talking. As the bus entered the school yard we noticed there were 3 or 4 groups of students gathered at the school entrance. Not knowing what was to happen, we were all nervous and concerned. The concern was quickly subdued when 2 Alburnett students came to our bus and welcomed us to their school. The students were Gary Leach and Noel McCalley. All Toddville students remember and appreciated their support.

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I worked with Gary at Iowa Electric / Alliant years ago. Gary was good to work with. I worked in the Quality department a good part of my career and interfaced with Gary. Prayers for the family!

Gary was one of the best people that I worked with at DAEC. He always brightened up my day. Prayers for Delores and family.

Was a wonderful guy. Worked with him a Collins. Kind good guy. Sorry for your loss.

Quick witted, sincere and always looking for laughter while keeping his eye on the task at hand. I worked with Gary at Iowa Electric and I have to echo what others say in that he was a welcoming soul. May his family and friends celebrate his life and may all the Angels, Saints, Holy men and Holy women welcome into God's eternal Grace. And may God Bless the memory of Gary Leach!

I sat beside Gary for about one year at Iowa Electric. He made me laugh at least once a day the entire time. R.I.P.

I met Gary when we were both taking classes at Mount Mercy and we were both working at Iowa Electric at the same time as well as riding the same bus to and from work. He had a great sense of humor and all around nice guy.
