Ted was a golfing legend in Cedar Rapids and wherever he played. As good a golfer as Ted was he was an even better person. An inspiration to all of us both on and off the golf course. He will be sorely missed, but long remembered by his many friends.

Ted was such a gentleman... I loved when he came to the salon at Summit Pointe for his haircuts ... he always had a smile and was fun to talk to. Thoughts and prayers to Ted’s entire family

I had the privilege of meeting Ted through golf tournaments we played together on same team that John Dulle organized. He was a great golfer and and a wonderful person. He was so friendly and a real pleasure to be around. I often stopped into the Hardware store and visited with him as well. My thoughts are with his entire family. Take Care, Rob Meyer - Cedar Rapids

I was a neighbor of Teds for 10 or 12 years and both retired from the Air Force so we had some good conversations . He was a good kind man who gave more then he took . RIP my fellow Airman.

Grandpa Rodgers was the best Grandpa a girl could ask for! I would wake up early with my Grandpa as a little girl reading from my joke books while he drank his morning coffee even though the jokes were probably cheesey my grandpa never failed to laugh and encourage more. No matter how old/ big I was I still always sat in his lap like a child even got to do it in March at the age of 40! I will have memories I will cherish for a life time! May your wings spread far on your journey to heaven with Grandma waiting for you with open arms as she says "what took you so long" in her Reba voice. May you both look down upon us from time to time with love and admiration and know you both are loved deeply!

I had the honor to golf with Ted on a couple occasions. And I am embarrassed to say that yes he beat me every single time. Give me a few pointers. My condolences go out to the family and friends those who have known him for longer than I have he’s left a permanent imprint on all of us.

Ted was my brother-in-law for over 60 years. He was the epitomy of what a real man should be. He provided for his family and was a wonderful husband and father. Although he was very stern, people that knew him could see his goodness. I would tell my sister how lucky she was to have him and get to go to Florida every winter to escape Iowa's harsh winters.
Love to all of his children and family. He will be missed.

I was one of the lucky golfers to have played golf with Ted for many years. He was such a great guy to be around. He had a great sense of humor and as He got older He would joke that "Jon I don't even buy green bananas anymore". He was deeply in love with His wife Reba and was a great role model. Ted will greatly be missed by all of His golf buddies. I still hold a grudge against Him because even though He was 18 years my elder, He constantly outdrove me off the tee and shot better scores. But what a gentleman and a great friend. I can still hear Ted commenting on a good golf shot - "now that's a golf shot". Ted I am happy that You are with the love of Your life again. RIP

Having known Ted for many years and was lucky enough to have the pleasure of playing many rounds of golf with him, and never once being able to beat him didn't bother me one bit! He was a friend and more so a true gentleman, soft spoken and always seemed to say the right words after a non stellar shot! You've touched a lot of people's hearts, me being one of them! You will be missed my friend! RIP

Ted was one of a kind. He and I first met back in the '80's when Ted, Reba and I were on the same coed bowling team. He was a kind smiling enjoyable person to be around. After bowling was over, our lives went in different directions. Then 25 years later I found him at Gardner and found out golf was his real favorite game. I rediscovered what a wonderful enjoyable person he was. I join the many who will miss Ted in this world.

I had the privilege of playing many rounds of golf with Ted in both Iowa and Florida. He was always an enjoyable golf companion whether he was playing good or bad. Needless to say his bad rounds were rare. My wife Nan and I enjoyed getting together with Ted and Reba and the Bears each year for dinner while we were all in Florida. He was a good friend and a true gentleman. I am sorry for your loss and may all your good memories of Ted bring you solace in your time of grief.

Ted Rodgers was a very special person on and off the golf course. I had the pleasure of having 6 Real Estate transactions with Ted and Reba and he was one of my first customers. We have been friends for over 25 years. He will be missed by many as there was not a thing that Ted would not do for others. I have many fond memories of Ted and Reba and I know his kids and grandkids do also. They were always foremost in his mind and prayers. A gentleman above most. My sympathy to the family. RIP, God Bless Ted and Reba.
