Memorial

Diane Louise Minney, 70, of Cedar Rapids passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec 2, 2020 at her home. She has been cremated and no service is planned. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Diane was born on June 4, 1950 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Andrews) Minney. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha, IA. Diane worked as a Telecommunications Operator at Mercy Medical Center, until her death. 

Survivors include her sister Patricia (Alan) Hanson, brother Douglas (Joan) Minney, sister Sherlynn (Jeff) Stephens, her long-time dearest friend Karen Blair, her friend and helpful neighbor Lisa Bonnichsen, and her loving dog Roco.

Words best describing Diane would be her outgoing nature, sense of humor, generosity, a diehard Cubs fan, and love for her dog. She will be missed.

Memorials in Diane's memory can be made to Dog's Forever in Cedar Rapids IA or to a charity of the donor's choice.
