Tot Nathanial Taylor, 79, of Palo passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A visitation will be on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 4-7pm at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people to be allowed into the visitation at one time.  The use of facemasks or shields is encouraged. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 8. 2020 at 12:30 PM at First Open Bible Church.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery following the service.

Tot Nathanial Taylor was born on May 19, 1941; the son of Frank Taylor and Dorothy Gerth.  Tot was raised by his step-father, Oliver Ehresman and his mother Dorothy.  Rev. Tot Taylor was a minister for 57 years, retired in June 2020.  He enjoyed reading A.W. Tozer, studying the bible, watching and going to Cubs and Hawk games, crosswords, eating at Texas Road House and IHOP, playing solitare, preaching, enjoying the outdoors, but most of all loved spending time with his family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon, 2 bothers, Garry and Gregg Taylor, son, Scott Taylor and three grandchildren, Alexis, Jade and Nicholas Taylor Jr..

Left to cherish Tot’s memories are his children, Stephanie Taylor of Cedar Rapids and Nicholas (Jennifer) Taylor of Palo, sister, Darlene Taylor of Arizona; four grandchildren, Dominic Duke, Shayla, Aidyn and Jackson Taylor; and great-grandchild, Dayanah Duke.
