To the family of Ann Vittengl. I met Ann over 40 years ago when my family moved to Cedar Rapids and we joined Trinity United Methodist Church. She and I were in the same bowling league, on different teams. We always enjoyed each other despite our 20 + years age difference. I looked forward to celebrating her 100th birthday, but was extremely ill on the day of her party. Ann was one of my favorite people. She was so friendly, outgoing and genuine. She loved her family, was proud of their accomplishments, and enjoyed her life to the fullest. I will miss her.

Ann was very special to my late husband Ron, and his parents. I heard many stories about Ron's beloved aunt , and his mother often referred to Ann, her sister-in-law, as her best friend. The families were close in the early days and throughout their kids' Iowa childhoods. It was a privilege for me to know this generous, kind, sweet, fun-loving and courageous woman. She lived life long and strong. Heaven has been waiting for her. Rest In Peace dear Ann.

We were neighbors with Ann and Ralph in the 60's and they were both SO nice. Ann was always smiling and/or laughing, such great memories of them both. Heartfelt sympathy to everyone - Kathy (Stejskal) ONeil

Sorry to hear of Annie’s passing. She was my bowling partner for quite a long time. She was the best person to be around. Always happy and so much fun!! We stayed in touch by Christmas cards. The last one was last Christmas. She will be missed!

Growing up, Ann was our neighbor, we went to Trinity UM together, and she worked with my dad to grow Penford Credit Union. She had an infectious laugh, zest for life, and never knew a stranger! Ann will be missed!

To the Vittengl family. Sorry for your loss. Ann was a great woman who I enjoyed talking to at Linwood or on the phone. (I was the paper guy who delivered her paper). May she Rest In Peace.
