Randy Phillippe, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019.

Randy was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 31, 1954 to Lloyd and Virginia Phillippe. Randy was a machinist and millwright for most of his life. He began racing flat track motorcycles in his teenage years, winning many trophies and winning the Grand National Championship, and remained an avid fan for the rest of his life. The injuries sustained in his racing years never stopped his love for the sport.

In his spare time, Randy loved to customize cars and work on motorcycles, always wanting to learn and take on new challenges and methods. Randy loved to travel and meet new people that had similar interests to share stories with and often help others with their projects.

Randy is survived by his wife, Jean; a son, Chad of Cedar Rapids, IA; a daughter, Nicole (Dan) Phillippe-Schultz of Memphis, TN; and another son, Jake, of Cedar Rapids, IA; and three grandsons, Brennen and Tanner Phillippe, and James Schultz. A brother, Larry (Delores) Phillippe of Belle Plaine, IA and a sister, Tanna (Doug) Buchanan, of Cedar Rapids, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
