JoAnn was my late husband John's cousin on his mother Olga's side of the family. Her mother Otelia and Olga were sisters. I enjoyed chatting with JoAnn on the phone from time to time and catching up on the family. I will miss her calls sharing all the news of family. Although we never met in person, I felt she was indeed family. It was a shock to find out about her passing. My condolences and those of our family go out to the Barmores.

JoAnn and I got together for breakfast every third Wednesday September through May.The group welcomed Dave to breakfast too. Then the Naomi group started the Bible study. We got to know each other sharing our thoughts and concerns. I will miss JoAnn so much and I know the family will too. God's comfort and peace be with all of you.

Although we only met JoAnn a couple of times we knew she was special lady. Not just by the short amount of time that we visited with her, but by the character of the children she raised. This alone speaks volumes of the type of woman, mother, and friend that JoAnn was and we are all blessed to have had her in our lives.
It is our prayer that her family finds comfort in knowing that JoAnn has touched the lives of so many and will be missed by all who knew her.
