Edward King

Departed on May 22, 2019

Rhonda, So sorry to hear of your loss of your dear father. I know how important you were to each other. I remember what troopers your parents were when you were ill a few years back. Praying for you, Darrell and your mom and the rest of the family. May God wrap His atms around each of you and bring you comfort and peace!

Dear King Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ed was a wonderful man, a great friend to my father in law vern. He was very instrumental and helpful when I started my painting hobby. He will be truly missed. Take care of each other. Love Lisa kelchner

Marlene and Rhonda, So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I was saddened to read about Ed's death in the paper. Unfortunately, my schedule kept me away from the visitation so I hope there were many others who could be there to honor and celebrate his life. While I haven't seen Ed since leaving the bank in late 2000, I recognized him immediately by his photo and my heart sank. Thank you for picking a great picture with one if his standard issue ball caps! If ever a ballcap was a uniform, Ed was the guy you could count on to have his uniform on. Ha! His obituary was a nice window into the importance of his family (so thank you for writing in such detail). He was always such a good and friendly person... its comforting to have confirmation that he treated his family as even better than co-workers and strangers. Will always remember him teasing me about the annual reports I'd get to study up on stocks and how he didn't even know there were that many companies. At one point he was bringing me 2 or 3 a day for about 5 weeks. And from time to time he'd commiserate with me about how my Cyclones were faring in football. I just always knew when he stopped by my desk at Norwest (fka Peoples Bank) I'd get a warm greeting and smile. When I was a young pup getting my career started, Ed was one of those people who could pick you up on a tough day just by being himself. I will continue to remember Ed very fondly!
