Sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I was on the Bethany for Children board when she was CEO and she led the agency very successfully during a transition away from residential treatment and into more direct family interventions and through a successful fund drive that enabled Bethany to move to new more suitable facilities. Bethany is stronger today because of her service.

So sad to hear the news of Shirley's passing. She was a loved member of the exceptional Class of 1956 from Reinbeck High School! Her life of service and achievement makes us all proud. She will truly be missed.

Shirley was a wonderful person who I spent some time with years ago. She gave wonderful advice and had great empathy. I am sorry for your loss. She helped many people plus raised a wonderful family.
