Memorial
Marilyn Scott, 94, of Wabasha, Minnesota, formally of Cedar Rapids, passed on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Wabasha, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 25th at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 2:00, at the chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marilyn was born on November 9, 1924 in Norway, Iowa the daughter of Mernie and Judith (Tow) Dyrland. She married Ernest Scott on March 29, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Marilyn’s patience, faith, family values and selflessness made her a truly beautiful woman, wife, sister, aunt, niece and friend too many.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, David (Marlene) of Chandler, AZ; her niece, Renee (Mike Johnston) Parcheta of Wabasha, MN; and a nephew, Dennis (Cynthia) Duda of Marion, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
