Memorial

William Everett Ingles, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday February 4, 2019 in Crestview Acres Care Center.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 8, at 1:30 p.m. at St Matthew’s Catholic Church. A gathering then will take place at 2:15 p.m. at Cottage Grove Place.  A private inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Mary A. Ingles, his children, Jason (Janell) Ingles of Las Vegas, Nevada, Justin (Jennifer) Ingles of Orange, California and Jordan Ingles of Marion, Iowa, his mother, Betty Elkins of Ottumwa, Iowa, his brother, Stan (Karen) Ingles of Davenport, Iowa, and his sister, Phyllis (Chris) Gosser of Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his step father, Charles Elkins, and aunts, Carol and Donna. 

William was born October 19, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He married Mary A. Jerde on October 16, 1999 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. William was employed with Linn County Lifts for 30 years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star.  William loved music and was a drummer in a rock and roll band. He enjoyed NASCAR, tinkering on the computer and model cars. He and Mary enjoyed their date nights watching endless movies together. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and eating as much ice cream as he could. It was his favorite.  He will be greatly missed by all.
