Mike, was saddened to hear of your passing. Will always remember the times I delivered pizzas to you and our conversations about your career in broadcast media, and my helping you learn how to use your computer. May you rest in peace and get your favourite pizza delivered to you in Heaven. Marky B

So sorry to hear that Mike has passed. I was only 18 years old when we first dating, still in high school. We got engaged one year later on Valentines Day ??, He was the first of a lot of things to me. He will always have a piece of heart and my memories will always keep him alive. RIP my friend ??

Dear family , I was saddened to read of Michael"s passing . I remember him very fondly as the polite young boy he was . I enjoyed watching him grow up, and knowing of his passion for the radio industry . May God bless his soul, and give all of you peace of heart and mind .

My dad Irv, did tax preparation for Mike. Dad was a stickler for keeping figures and accounts in order. Mike’s lack of that discipline frustrated Irv. I recall the first time dad took on the task of untangling Mike’s "records". Mike gave him a large box of assorted this and that all thrown together with no system evident. Irv's digging in, organizing, preparing returns, and imparting pertinent advice for the future began an enduring friendship between them. In the years that followed, their friendship was cemented by their mutual interests in radio, music, and more. And when Irv had a massive stroke, leaving him mute and wheelchair bound for the last twenty-four years of his life, Mike did not forget him. Though Irv’s verbal banter and glib conversation was gone, Mike could fill in the blanks. His friendship with Irv meant so much – to all of us. Thanks Mike. The Hickey family, Betty, Erin, and Irv
