Greta Van Fleet

Born in Cedar Rapids, IA
Born on Jun 8, 1932
Departed on Feb 1, 2019

Sending my sympathy and condolences to Greta's husband and family. My grandmother, Lola Stillions, lived down the hill behind the Van Fleet's home and I remember her visiting with my grandmother as they stood over the garden and talked about their flowers and plants. Sending my love and sympathy.

Thoughts and prayers to my Uncle John, and cousins Steve, Terry and Michelle. Love you guys!

Thoughts & Prayers to Greta’s loved ones. Thinking back, when my Granddaughter, Hallie Hanson was born, Greta made sure she was (Nurse) overseeing the blessed event. (I lived in Florida at time & gave me comfort.)

Greta and John are so connected to memories of my mom and dad, Donna and Jerry Plotz. The Kernels Booster Club, the trips, the baseball games were all such an important part of their friendship and I am saddened to hear about Greta. The memories live on, though, and I am so glad to have known the Van Fleet family. Blessings to all of you.

Gretta was the best secretary a hospital unit could ever have. She was skilled in the pediatrics ward but could fill in on any unit and do a great job. Always had garden produce to share and was kind and thoughtful to everyone. My sympathy to the family. Retired SL RN, Mary L Taylor

Dear John and Family: I wish to express my heartfelt condolences on your loss of Greta. May the Lord comfort you, now and always. Amen.

To Michele, John and the rest of your family The world has lost a bright and very energetic star. I loved knowing Greta when she worked at St Lukes and later when I saw her at Kernels games. She will be missed for the joy and energy she bright to all of us. Hugs and prayers to all of you.

My sympathy to Greta's family. Greta was one of the first people I ever met on the pediatric ward at St. Luke's. She was always there! She was kind and pleasant. I recall she brought special things from home to share with the children on the unit. She was well loved and respected. Mary Nelson
