I knew Rita throughout Jr High, sharing the classrooms at Western. I am so sorry to hear that we lost her at such a young age. My family and I send our deepest condolences to her family.

Rita and I were classmates. We had a small class, so we were all fairly close. Rita was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her loved ones at this time. RIP my friend.

I met Rita this year at Kennedy. Each morning a small group of us try to hold the door and greet the students entering the high school from the bus and parking lot. Rita would be there many mornings, smiling and offering a fun and cheery greeting to all. I am thankful for the short time that I have been able to be around her, and I'll keep smiling and offering cheer in her honor. My thoughts are with all that loved Rita!
