It was always very obvious that Kathy deeply loved her family. My sympathy goes out to you all of you that loved her. I am picturing Kathy and Julie in a huge hug right now.

We remember a darling blond girl named Kathy. She was adored by her family and neighbors across the street in Traer Iowa. We are those neighbors ages 88 and 86 living in Iowa City. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kathy was such a special person to me. I looked forward to my 1 day a month to go see her to help do things for her around her home. I'd have to watch the clock because we'd get to talking and I'd forget to go check the laundry! We both made lists between when we'd get to see each other again so we could remember the things we wanted to share with each other. We laughed so much and shared so much. I'm honored that I got to know this amazing woman and to be the Care Giver she looked forward to seeing each month.
