Dianne French just text me that your mother died. What a lovely woman, I will miss those Christmas cards with all the news of the family, My sympathy to all. The last time I saw your folks was Oct 20,1990 at Cheryls wedding and then my mother died the next day and they came for her funeral. Love to all Kathleen, Lee Stone and family

I was sorry to hear that Mrs. French passed away. She had a great life and a great family. Our family was enriched by her kindness and generosity. We were lucky. Please accept our condolences. Sincerely, Tom Hidder

To the French family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Dixie was one of a kind and so loved. She and I were in TOPS together many years ago. I can still hear her little laugh, she was a sweetie. I used to kid her about not weighing me right when I had a gain. She was a beautiful person and hold her memories in your hearts forever. Annamae Baker

So sorry for the loss of you mother. Thinking of you and wishing you peace.

Sorry for your loss kids. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear French family, I am sorry for your recent loss. Dixie was a great wife, mother, mother in law, grandma and friend. One of the best! She definitely will be remembered for raising a great family and all of you are a tribute to that. May she rest in peace and I am sure her and Bob are now together fishing and camping! :) Many hugs to each of you!

Miss you mom

Tim and Mike, so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. John always spoke highly of your parents. Please accept my heart-felt condolences.

Dixie was the mother of my best friend, Trudy. She was only 25 years old when I met her daughter in kindergarten. Bringing up six wonderful children, they are a tribute to her generous spirit. I will always cherish those years I spent as a young girl among the French family with kind Robert and all of Trudy's siblings. Dixie was a true mother of the 1950s dedicated to raising and nurturing her children. She survived the loss of her first born and after Robert's death she carried on as the head of the family. Every year she would send me a holiday card and update me on her growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dixie will be missed by many.

Dixie was a wonderful lady...who, along with her husband, have supported Camp Courageous in many ways, going back to 1980...she will be dearly missed....
