Spencer is survived by his loving parents, Don and Beth Carver; his sister, Bailey (Tyler) Freese; a brother, Harris Carver; two nieces, Allis and Lexi all of Cedar Rapids; grandmothers, Doris MacDonald of Waverly, IA; and Evelyn Carver of Fairfax, IA; his aunts and uncles, David and Lisa MacDonald of Waverly, IA; David and Connie Carver of Piedmont, SC; Duane and Lee Carver of Fairfax, IA; his dog, Katlin and many loving extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harry MacDonald and Russell Carver.

Spencer graduated from Prairie High School in 2016. He continued his education at Southwest Minnesota State University where he completed 2 years. While attending SMSU Spencer was a member of the wheelchair basketball team.

Spencer was a friendly and caring young man that enjoyed the outdoors by hunting with friends, attending truck and tractor pulls, playing video games and watching football with family especially when the Green Bay Packers played.

Spencer showed how brave, fearless and strong he was following the car accident in January 2015. His spinal cord injury changed his life but through his dedication to gain back his independence and mobility he showed all of us the true meaning of being #carverstrong

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to the Carver Family Benefit Fund established at Hills Bank and Trust.
