Patricia Kaye Pyle, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held on Sunday, September 23 at 1 PM, with a visitation beginning an hour prior, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A private family burial will be held following the services.
Patricia was born on February 14, 1945 to Kenneth and Evelyn (McFarland) Kelley in Manchester, Iowa. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1963. Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Douglas Pyle on October 19, 1963 in Marion, Iowa.
Patricia loved doing research on the computer, especially when it came to genealogy. She retired from Alliant Energy in 2002. Patricia was an amazing and devote homemaker and loved spoiling all of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Larry Pyle of Coralville; Jeffrey (Cathy) Pyle and Steven (Julie) Pyle both of Palo; and Jerry (Paula) of Columbus, OH; a sister, Nadine Leise of Vinton; a brother, Harry (Judy) Kelley of Panama City, FL; brother-in-law, Denny Pyle of Cedar Rapids; 3 granddaughters, Kylee, Lakyn, and Brittany. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
