Kenneth LeRoy Pratt, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday September 30 at the age of 88. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, from 4-7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at Kenwood Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 3 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at 1:30 at Jordan’s Grove Cemetery in rural Central City.

He was born on April 30, 1930 to Burleigh and Della Barrett Pratt near Waubeek Iowa. He was a graduate of Central City High School. He worked at Cryovac for 34 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Kenwood Park United Methodist Church where he served in various areas.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen Starks Pratt; sons Stephen (Darlene) Pratt of Bloomington, Indiana and David (Carolyn) of McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren, David Jon (Casey) Pratt, Amy (Cory) Kirkland, Brian Pratt (Amy C. Pratt), Aaron (Whitney) Pratt, Abigail (Jacob)Tolar and Nathan (Sierra) Pratt; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren;  brothers in law Harold (Lois) Starks, Kenneth (Pat) Starks, Richard (Debbie) Starks, William Stein;  sisters in law Hildred Buck and Ida Pratt; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Babe, brother Bernard and wife Nellie, brother Merle, sister Betty Ritze and husband Charles, brother in law Norman Buck, and sisters in law Joan Starks and Marilyn Stein.
