Memorial

Our father Lloyd Rowray passed away surrounded by his family November 4, 2018 at the age of 93.

Cedar Memorial will handle funeral services at 11am on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with a visitation prior to service from 9-11am.  

Dad lived a happy life and brought joy to all he met; always joking and teasing those around him.  Dad was a very hardworking proud man.  He worked at the Cedar Rapids School system for 46 years.  He was a WWII Navy veteran.  

He is survived by his four children Lynn (Bob) Richards of Cedar Rapids, Janie (Bob Hagist) Townsend of Hiawatha, Wendy (Bill) Voss of Walford and Steve Rowray of Cedar Rapids;  six grandchildren,  13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; Brothers Dick and Jack;  Sisters Bessie McCright, Murtle Hyjeck, Shirley Wiggins, Lora Crawford and Susy Kent all of Cedar Rapids.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Wanda (McQueen), Brothers Maynard, Norman and Victor; sister Mary Louise and grandson Ira Mark.
