Phyllis C. Dyer, 83, of Boulder, Colorado, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died May 27, 2018 in Colorado from complications due to Parkinson Disease.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. for Phyllis and her husband John, who passed away six days prior to Phyllis, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Phyllis was born March 18, 1935 in Clayton County, Iowa, the daughter of James Cleveland and Edna Harry.  Following graduation from Colesburg High School in 1952, she graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College.  She was united in marriage to John H. Dyer on June 10, 1961.

She worked at Link Belt Speeder as a secretary for 11 years, then stayed home to raise her family.  In 1980 she began work for Central Iowa Power Cooperative, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Calvin-Sinclair Presbyterian Church.

Her family includes a son, David Dyer (Suzanne) of Boulder, Colorado; two daughters, Ann Chavarria (Victorio) Corvallis, Oregon and Susan Dyer Risser (Cameron) West Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Henry, Owen and Audrey Dyer of Boulder, Colorado;  two brothers, Cletus Harry (Mary Kay) of Rochester, Minnesota and Roger Harry (Joyce) of Manchester, Iowa; sister-in-law, Darleen Dyer of Dubuque, Iowa; along with many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, a brother, Donald Harry, and two sisters, Gail Holthaus and Helen Howard. 

Phyllis was a loving and thoughtful mother and grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family very much. She enjoyed traveling, reading, baking, and flowers.
