Memorial

Claire Ellen Tigan, 95, of Anamosa passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Pinicon Place. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marion, burial will follow service.  A Luncheon will be held at the church.

Claire Ellen Koebler was born on March 31, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (O’Brien) Koebler.  She was united in marriage to Carl Guio, he later passed away.  Claire then married John D. Tigan, he passed away in 1974.  Claire enjoyed gardening and spending time with her loving family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, her husbands, children: Connie Roach and her husband Mike, Nancy Waite and David Tigan.

Left to cherish Claire’s memories are her children, Mary (Don) Heilman of Makinen, MN and John (Leigh) Tigan of Marion, IA, Bob Waite of Anamosa and Barb Tigan of Mendota Heights, MN, 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 

Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research in Claire’s name.
