Wayne A. Quinby, 83 of Cedar Rapids died Sunday March 11, 2018 at Manor Care. Services at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial with military rites at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include four sons, Randy (Cindy) of Arizona, Rick of Missouri, Scott (Laveda), and Craig all of Cedar Rapids; and a daughter Stacy (Jason) Reutzel of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Virginia, wife Diana, 2 brothers Mike and Bob and 2 great grandchild, Alexa Flint and Liam Quinby .
Wayne was born on May 30, 1934 in Cedar Rapids the son of Harry and Virginia Quinby. He married Diana L. Knaack on March 20, 1955 in Cedar Rapids. Diana passed away in 2008.
Wayne was a supervisor at Harnischfeger for over 25 years and later worked at Cedar Rapids Inc. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. Wayne enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his flowers; hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and beloved family.
