Floyd Donald Williams, 87, of Cedar Rapids passed away on March 10, 2018.His children and spouse will greet friends and relatives on March 14, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom with a funeral service March 15, 2018 at 10:30am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following services. 

Floyd was born to George and Frieda (Specht) Williams on March 25, 1930 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On July 7, 1950 he married the love of his life, Shirley, in Cedar Rapids. Floyd proudly served his nation as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He worked at ABF Trucking for many years and enjoyed reading, driving, church activities and helping others. Floyd had a great sense of humor which brought joy to everyone around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George Williams and Leo Williams; and granddaughter, Sarah Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, his son, Floyd Williams Jr. (Denise), daughter Jessie Fisher; his sister Gertrude Plotz (John); grandchildren, Maj Megan Spangler (Jake), 1Lt Zachary Williams, Mathew Fisher (Jennifer), Jason Varney; great-grandchildren, Madelaine Fisher, Nathaniel Fisher, Benjamin Spangler.
