Dorothy was a very special person and I enjoyed our talks! I have many wonderful memories of both Dorothy & Newt!

As the dental hygienist for the CR School District, I enjoyed working with Dorothy. She was so concerned about the students and wanted the best health care available for them. There weren’t many like her! Carolyn Rossie

Valerie - My sincere condolence to the passing of your mother. I enjoyed getting to know her as an adult. She was a good supporter of mine along with the Democratic Party. My best to you and your family. Lu (Ann) Barta Barron

DOROTHY AND I WORKED TOGETHER AT ST .LUKES HOSPITAL. SHE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL CARE GIVER AND SO DEDICATED TO HER PATIENTS.SHE WAS A GREAT ROLE MODEL FOR ALL OF US. NANCY LAMB SKOGSBERGH

Dorothy was an incredible human being. Smart, funny, and generous with her time. She was a valued volunteer at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art and I consider myself fortunate to have known her. I will miss her.

Val & John, Both Barry and I have so many wonderful memories of traveling with your parents! Such a neat couple always doing the best for everyone they knew! I consider myself privileged for the opportunity to meet and travel with Newt & Dorothy. She will be missed by many who knew her. Our deepest sympathy to your family.

Dorothy was my Early Childhood nurse at Harrison elementary. Her passion and concern for each child was so apparent. I believe she has to be one of the most beloved educators in our Cedar Rapids School System. Newt was my teacher at Franklin and both attended our school reunions and luncheons. They seemed to be our age . I also worked out with them at the Y Fitness A favorite memory was at a conference when she and I chatted, giggled and laughed till 2:00 AM. I miss her.

We sure will miss you Aunt Dorothy. Say hello to Grandpa George and Uncle Newt for us. Thanks for all the heartfelt memories over the years.

Aunt Dorothy was a remarkably kind, warm hearted, and truly gifted woman. She always took an interest in what you had to say and generously shared her thoughts and invaluable knowledge. I miss her.
