Clyde Cammack, 93, a resident of Cottage Grove Place died there on Friday July 6, 2018. Services with military rites at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday.

Survivors include his stepchildren;  David (Tracy) Corell of Marion; Jeffrey (Cindy) Corell of Vacaville, California; Charles (Beth) Corell of Ft. Dodge; Patricia (Clyde) Berlinger of Buffalo, Wyoming; Elizabeth (Bruce) Brown 0f Rhodes. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and two brothers.

Clyde was born on January 23, 1925 in Salem Township, the son of Ray and Irene Simkin Cammack. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1947. Clyde was a mechanical engineer at Iowa Manufacturing and retired from there after 32 years of service.

He married Doris L. Corell on May 16, 1975 in Cedar Rapids. Doris passed away in 2015. Clyde was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the Mariner-Marlin Association was a lifetime member of the American Legion and proudly served in the Navy during WWII.

Memorial donations may be given to the Salem Crew Public Library in Clyde’s name.
