Ann Tack (71) of Marion, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Saturday July 7, 2018.  Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday July 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, Iowa starting at 11am.  Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 9am at the church.

Ann Louise Smith was born April 23, 1947 in Iowa City, Iowa to Charles and Dorothy (Parden) Smith.   Ann married Ron Tack on June 19, 1971 in Waterloo, Iowa.  Ann was a beloved teacher in the Cedar Rapids school district for 32 years.    She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her two sons and five grandchildren.  Ann loved spending time with her family. Ann’s favorite past times included arranging flowers and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.    

Ann will be deeply missed by her loving husband Ron; her two sons Andy (Emily) Tack of Sarasota, Florida and Mark (Jaime) Tack of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and five grandchildren Charlie (12), Lila (11), Jameson (8), Gavin (6), and Sloane (4 weeks).  One brother Steve (Mary) Smith of Iowa City, Iowa; and one sister Liz (Terry) Lynch of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.  

Ann was preceded in death by her parents. 

She lived a complete and wonderful life.
