My sympathies to the family. Neoma and I were in Beta Sigma Phi together. I remember what a kick she got out of the surprise breakfasts we had each year. Rest in peace, Neoma.

My mother Mary was Neoma's best friend in high school and college. They joined the Navy Waves together and served together in WW II and later in the Naval Reserve while attending the University of Nebraska. They both obtained degrees in education and went on to serve their communities for many years teaching and coaching our youth. They were each others maid of honor in their respective weddings and even shared their wedding dress when they were married. They both loved to travel and meet new people. My mother didn't have a sister and I think Neoma was the sister she never had. I have heard countless stories of their doing things together that only true friends could do. My mother's thoughts and prayers will be with Neoma as she settles in her rightful place in Heaven. They will meet again someday and again tell stories of their adventures here on earth. God Bless you Neoma.
