Memorial

Gregory J. Kos, 59 of Lisbon died Friday February 2, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. There will be a visitation from 1 to 4 PM on Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where everyone attending is encouraged to dress casually. There will be a family graveside service at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon, a daughter Lindy (Fiancé Alan) Kos of Dysart; two step-sons Mitch (Stacey) Glew of Vinton and Travis Glew of Lisbon; his mother JoAnne Kos of Waterloo, two sisters Dawn (Scott) Karr of Dysart and Monica (Mark) Gillette of Rio Grande City, Texas and a brother Doug (Vern) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and his three dogs Chloe, Bug, and Kandy. He was preceded in death by his father. 

Greg was born on November 11, 1958 in Marshalltown the son of Virgil and JoAnne Macosky Kos. He married Sharon K. Mitchell on July 21, 2001 in Lisbon. 

Greg was the project coordinator at C.R. Conveying for over 25 years.

Greg enjoyed snowmobiling, working on cars, and watching drag racing and the New Orleans Saints Football. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established in Greg’s name.
