Win was born November 14, 1924 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Rollin and Verlie (Petty) Heald. She married Robert C. Tvrdik on August 30, 1941 in Wayland, Missouri. Win was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, visiting the homebound.  She volunteered with St. Luke’s Auxiliary and as a reader for Arthur Elementary School.  She was an avid golf and tennis player and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a league bowler and performed with the synchronized swim group the Aquarelles.

Win was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.  The family wishes to thank Home Instead Senior Care for its vital role in fulfilling Win’s wish to remain in her home, made possible because of her caregivers’ loving dedication and commitment.  When the time came to transition to Hiawatha Care Center, she found a new loving family to welcome her. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff for filling Win’s days with tender care and most of all love.
