Recently I lost my dear mother and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Scott and Teresa, So sorry to get the news tonight of Dad's passing. So many good memories of 18th St. One strong one was the building of the stone wall between us. And taking care of the Siameze Cat when you all would be gone. I moved back to Marshall Mo this past July. Been 40 years that Ina Mae and I was in Indiana. Ina Mae passed away 3 years ago in August. Grandpa Bill will always hold a special place in my heart. One of my favorite memories of Grandpa Bill was the day he gave me a yarn doll named Molly. Molly had a bright red nose.When I would squeeze her nose I would hear a unique squeaking sound. However, Molly's nose would only squeak when Grandpa Bill came over to visit. It wasn't until a few years later did I realize who was making that squeaking noise. I will always treasure Grandpa's sense of humor.

Brother Bill Bascom was a dedicated Mason. I had the privilege of working with him in the Scottish Rite, and remember the many Masonic funerals he conducted. Bill was good at delivering his words and making a point. He labored in many degrees always making a positive impact. I salute our Brother and celebrate his life. He made a positive difference as he lived by his principles. So mote it be.
