Memorial

Wayne Edward Myers, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home following an extended illness.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Private family inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wayne Edward Myers was born December 24, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Raymond and Ruth (Grabau) Myers.  He graduated from Washington High School and attended the University of Iowa.  Wayne was united in marriage to Jeanne Marie Nichols on January 12, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was a restaurant and bar owner for many years and owned Ellis Landing.  Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Marie Myers; two children, Michelle Michels and William Raymond Myers; a granddaughter, Morgan Michels all of Cedar Rapids, IA; and two brothers, David (Terry) Myers of Hiawatha, IA; and Douglas (Julie) Myers of Blairstown, IA. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald Myers.
