Memorial

Patricia Ann “Pat” Rainwater, 72 of Hiawatha died Sunday December 2, 2018 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivor include her husband Bob, two sons, Christopher (Stephanie) of LaQuinta, California and Chad (Kati) of Apple Valley, Minnesota; a brother Michael Schleich of Peoria, Illinois and a sister Maureen (Tim) Kelley of Mission Viejo, California. She is also survived by two granddaughters Callie and Rylie Rainwater. She was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Schleich and a sister Cathy Schaub. 

Pat was born on September 22, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Edwin and Mary Conway Schleich. She married Charles Robert “Bob” Rainwater on June 10, 1967 in Peoria. Pat worked in food service at St. Pius X Catholic School for 21 years retiring in 2001. 

She enjoyed family vacations to St. Louis and to Palm Springs, California. She especially enjoyed time spent with her beloved granddaughters. Pat will forever be remembered for her positive attitude and the beautiful smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and many friends. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Mercy Hospice House or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
