Kimberly K. (Weber) Davis, 49, passed away surrounded by family at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics on December 28, 2018. She was born January 13, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Keith and Marilyn Weber.

Kim graduated from Jefferson High School in 1987. She continued her education at Kirkwood Community College then attended the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated in 1991 with a degree in education. Kim taught for more than 20 years in the Vinton Community School District and most recently worked as a program supervisor at REM. Kim had a special place in her heart for the residents under her care that she affectionately referred to as “her girls.”

Kim was a selfless champion for underdogs, always putting others before herself. She loved gardening, crafts, live music, and spending time with her daughter. Kim appreciated the little things in life: a starry night sky, a fully bloomed flower, a toasty bonfire or a thoughtful letter. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met and was loved by many.

She is survived by her daughter Karissa Davis and her fiancé Dalton Barnabo, her sisters and their husbands Vickie Weber and Don O’Neill, Stephanie and Martin Shaw, Melody and Dennis Cook; nieces Adaylnn Shaw, Katie and her husband Connor Schrader; nephew Tony and his wife Natalie Cook and their children Callyn, Colbie, Zane, and Zion; and special friend Brad Zimmerman.

Kim leaves this world to be reunited with her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Memorial Family Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
