Memorial
Dorothy (Dot) Larson, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018.
A memorial service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am Friday at the Chapel Stateroom. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Patty, Shelly (Steve), Jacklin (Glen), John (Pam), Carrie (Brad); step children, Sara, Steven, Gretchen; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Richard, 2nd husband Dana and step-son Peter.
Dorothy (Dot) was born in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Milo and Mary. She graduated from Wilson High School. Dorothy lived in Bismarck, North Dakota for 22 years; Eden Prairie, MN for 10 years and then moved back to Cedar Rapids in 2001. She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church in Bismarck, Christian Women’s Club and Learn & Chat groups. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and all of God’s creatures including the “One Arm Bandits!”
The family would like to especially thank the staff and residents of Garnett Place, Oldorf Hospice House and Unity Point Home Care for their love and concern.
