Memorial

Carney Ryan, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home Sunday, December 2, 2018.  A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 11:00 am, at the Cedar Memorial Family Center. Private interment: St Joseph Cemetery

Survivors include children; Michael Ryan, Kathy Tegen both of Cedar Rapids, Jason Ryan of Fort Dodge, Vence (Heryadi) Ryan of Vancouver, British Columbia; Grandchildren, Charity (Brian) Hudson, and Alix (Matt) Shada and Sisters, Agnes Holmes and Veronica Minor both of Cedar Rapids.

Carney was preceded in death by his wife Katie, son Mark, three sisters and two brothers.

Carney was born February 20, 1936 to John Ryan and Frances Carney.  He married Katie Patterson on September 8, 1956 in Cedar Rapids.  Carney worked for Iowa Manufacturing for 47 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be remembered fondly and dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed Unity Point Hospice.
