Memorial

Alisha Ross ("Roni" , "Baby Gurl”), 17, of Anamosa, passed away on August 22, 2018 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Childrens Hospital of Omaha, following a 5 year battle with heart and lung disease.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30 from 5 to 8 PM at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom.  Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Pastor Pierre Gibbs presiding.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alisha was born April 21, 2001 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She grew to love the outdoors, basketball, volleyball, dirt track racing, Hawkeye Downs Racing and most of all The Pittsburgh Steelers.  She will always be remembered for her kindred and fighting spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  In the end, she helped others by being a donor.

She is survived by her parents, Preston and Kim Ross of Anamosa; Danny Cannon of Cedar Rapids; brothers and sisters from Texas, North Carolina, Alabama, Colorado, Tennessee, and Iowa.  Her grandparents, Alvin and DeeAann Boots of Anamosa and Robert and Laree Dains, Sr. of Marion; great grandmother Karen Dains of Cedar Rapids; 24 nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shaunet Pettit, her great-grandfathers, a great-grandmother and a host of relatives and friends.
