Joseph "Joe" Bousek Jr.

Born on Nov 24, 1933
Departed on Apr 6, 2018

Brenda- Very sorry to hear of your Dad passing. Hold onto the memories with him and you all. They are priceless! Prayers for you all.

Our sympathy and prayers to all of Joseph's family. Wilbur remembers how Wayne and Joe liked to fish for the trout and their passion for their Wire Fox Terries. God Bless

Let's remember there is life after death of the body. The Bible says, " Absent from the body, present with the Lord." I'm sure when we meet in Heaven Joe will be pointing out where I was wrong, and I'll be letting him know where I was right! Losing a loved one is tuff, but knowing this life isn't all there is, gives us great hope as we look forward to seeing Jesus and Joe! Amen

Brenda. This is a very tough time for you right now. Although it’s hard to do your dad would want you to celebrate his life. Celebrate and cherish the times and all the things you’ve had together. Celebrating Joe’s life is uplifting and allows you to know he’s now always going to be a part of you in everything you do. I know you were and still are a daddy’s girl and Joe loved it. Nothing changes now except he’ll always be in your heart. Be strong for your mom but always know your dad is always with you. Jan

Linda. It’s so unbelievably to imagine Joe will not be there everyday but in fact he will. He will always be with you, watching over you and guiding you throughout your life. Now is the time to celebrate Joe , his life, his loves and all the great memories he leaves. I’m so sorry that Joe had to leave now but so honored that I had the opportunity to know him, have fun with him and have him as a good friend. Nothing can take those memories away. Linda, be strong for Brenda, be close to your friends and family and know that Joe will be there for you always Don’t underestimate the love and support you have around you. You are a special person and have many who know that

Linda, We were surprised and sadden about Joe's passing. We lost Dad on February 20th.. There is kind of a void in the house with one person missing. We understand what you and your family are going through... I always remember Joe out on his rider lawn mower and waiving at me when I drove by,,, I remember your van with the "Joe" Iowa Hawkeye plates... Like my Dad , Joe is in a better place and is at peace... We hope all the great memories get you and your family through the rough times. - Pete Wood

I remember Joe as a dedicated and loyal employee of Longview Fibre who had an unwavering commitment to doing jobs correctly and reliably. Our time together was in Cedar Rapids as I began there in 1959 and transferred out in 1966. Joe made a lasting impression on me with his cheerful attitude during the most challenging circumstances. Whenever I would visit the CR factory during later years, I would always enjoy talking with Joe. He had a broad range of interests and could carry on an enlightened conversation on almost any subject. He was a primary contributor to the success of our company and a blessing to my life to have known him as a fellow employee.
