My sympathy to the entire family. I have known Duane and the family for so many years I almost feel like a part of my own family has gone. Being such good friends with not only myself but my siblings and my parents and then when Duane and Ruby moved out to my old stomping grounds it felt like the Elsbury family was even closer. A nicer family all around could not be had, from Duane's parents down to his kids. God Bless you all.

Deepest sorry for Duane's passing. He suffered so much and fought so hard now he will be with his one true love Ruby. We all will miss him and never will he be forgotten. He had a big heart and would help everybody. We loved him so very deeply...Rest in peace Duane

Hi Teresa, I am sorry to see that you have lost your Dad. I know that you was very close to your father. His soul is free now, he is in the light of love. Hugs and Love to you and your family.

?My prayers and most sincere condolences go out to the Children, especially Virgil, and the rest of the Family, and Friends of Duane John Elsbury Sr....May God bless you all and grant you His loving strength, peace and mercy at this time of loss... I knew Duane from our days together working at Iowa Manufacturing in the '60s and '70s, especially during the time that we both worked 2nd shift. In those days we often shared a beer or two at lunchtime or after work at one of the nearby bar & grills such as the "Tic Toc Lounge" or "The Horseshoe Lounge"...We also bowled on league a time or two. Duane was a very pleasant and caring person to know and it hurts to know that he is gone... In Duane's honor and to offer some small solace for the Family, I offer the following verse...I hope that it helps even a little.... A BRIGHT LIGHT HAS GONE OUT...(By Michael M. Kelly Sr.) A bright light has gone out and let some of the darkness in, And only God understands why. We who are left behind are not to understand, But maybe we have to accept. We have to accept that for a little while, Duane's bright light was sent to be among us, For us to enjoy, And now he's gone back to God, Where his bright light can shine forever. Please don't be sad for Duane, He has gone to a place where he will be happy always, And he will forever, remember your love....

May Duane's smile remain forever in our memories and may he finally receive peace. Rest in peace my dear friend.... Psalms 100 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He Who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His Name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” Amen.
