Jacqueline “Jackie” A. Rathje, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Service: 3:00 pm Friday, September 15, 2017 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum officiating. Burial will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm Friday at the chapel.
Family members include her brother, Tom (Ronda) McAllen; children, John Rathje and Tina Rathje; grandchildren, Jade Rathje and Sky and Rivers Rathje; special friends who visited her at LCE, Buddie, Max, and Wendy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Rathje and daughter, Tina Rathje.
Jacqueline Ann McAllen was born July 5, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Zella (Snyder) McAllen. On April 10, 1961, she married Edward H. Rathje at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.
The family would like to especially thank all of the staff at Living Center East for all the wonderful care that was given to Jackie for 8 years.
