Memorial

Albert L. Buelow 94 of Marion died Monday September 25, 2017 at the Villages in Marion. Services at 10:30 AM on Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Center Point where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Rev. David Hansen will officiate. Burial at 1:30 PM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Esther (Corkey); three sons Dale and LeRoy (Linda) all of Cedar Rapids and Wayne (Melonie) of Center Point; two daughters JoAnn Buck of Cedar Rapids, Mary Behrens of Toddville; and a brother Raymond (Mae) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Albert was born on September 4, 1923 in Luzerne the son of Louis and Augusta Willenbrook Buelow. He married Esther M. (Corkey) Hensing on August 18, 1946 in Vinton.

Albert farmed in the Center Point area for many years and later drove truck. He was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed riding horses. 

Albert will always be remembered for his love of farming and family. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association in Albert’s name.
