Memorial

Marjorie P. Deal, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church. Visitation will start at 10 A.M. on Monday at Lovely Lane. 

Marjorie was born on March 22, 1929; the daughter of Hollis and Eleanor (Farrell) Peck. She was the family matriarch and best mother we could have asked for, while instilling strong family values in all generations.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, second husband Max, sons Scott (Elizabeth) and Michael Deal. Sister Jean Hasbrouck, brother Ronald Peck, and her faithful companion Fluffy. 

Left to cherish Marjorie’s memories are her children, Stephanie (Dick) Phillips, of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Joan) Deal of New Glarus, WI and grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Hagmeier, Brent Hagmeier, Nathan Deal, Jeremy Deal, John (Ashley) Deal, Laura Deal, Eric (Rachelle) Deal and 6 great grandchildren.   

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Lovely Lane United Methodist Church or the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
