Memorial

Adeline L. Rompot, 92, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Crestview Acres, Marion.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with burial to follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am Monday at the chapel.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Don Harrigan) Goff of Northbrook, IL, Elaine (Pete) Gunn of Alburnett, Linda Totten of Hiawatha and son, Robert Rompot of Hiawatha; 2 grandchildren, April Goff and Marshall Totten; brother, Marvin Hilmer of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 2008, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Adeline Louise Hilmer was born April 20, 1925 in rural Allamakee County, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Hesse) Hilmer. On March 24, 1948 she married Raymond Rompot in Marion, Iowa. She worked as a registered nurse for many years. Adeline enjoyed family, gardening, walking and especially her church and church family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

The family would like to especially thank all the staff at Crestview Acres for the love and care they gave Adeline during her stay.
