Ida “Jane” Mollenhauer, 93 of Hiawatha formerly of Alburnett and Coggon died Wednesday November 8, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital. Services at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. John Lodwick will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday

Survivors include her children; Charlene (Bob) Kramer of Central City, Joe (Pam) of Alburnett, Judy (John) Lodwick of Aurora, Colorado and Barbara (Bob) Michel of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and sisters and brothers- in- law. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son Daniel, daughter Pamela, 2 brothers Paull and Willis Lillie; and 3 sisters Charlotte Powers, Alma Bugg and Georgia Wilson.

Jane was born on August 5, 1924 in Linn County the daughter of Daniel and Lillie Slater Lillie. She graduated from Alburnett High School and married Robert L. Mollenhauer on January 3, 1945 in Alburnett. Robert passed away in 1995. Jane was a homemaker and later worked at Farmers State Bank as a bookkeeper for over 15 years, retiring in 1995.

She attended New Covenant Bible Church and when she lived in Coggon was a member of the First Christian Church there. Jane enjoyed flower gardening, entertaining both family and friends and was always up for an adventure.

Jane will forever be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. A memorial fund has been established in Jane’s name.
