Scherrie Riniker passed away at St. Lukes hospital on May 14th, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was 67.

Scherrie was born on June 9th, 1949 a daughter of Celester and Evelyn Jaeger of Hopkinton, Iowa. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley HS in 1967. She married Vincent Riniker in 1971, they were married 27 years and had three children.

Scherrie is survived by her three children, Chad (Heather) Riniker, of Mount Vernon. Sara (Joe) Lambert, and Laura (Nathan) MacKenzie both of Cedar Rapids. As well as her pride and joy, her nine grandchildren. Chloe, Blaine, Mason, Mazzy, Kael, Xander, Lana, Ainsley, and Flynn.

Scherrie touched many lives and made many great friends in her years of employment. From Rockwell Collins, Swiss Valley, Dairy Lab Services, and retiring from J&P Cycles in 2014.

She lived for her children and grandchildren.  Nothing made her happier than when they were all together for a BBQ, walk to the park, or a drink in the backyard.  She always made everyone feel special no matter where she went.  Her smile and her amazing cookies will be remembered by many.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at her home; 805 Owen St NW Cedar Rapids, on Friday May 26th from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Food and drinks will be served.  All are welcome to stop in with pictures and memories to share.
