So sorry to see my good friend go to heaven to continue his golf/tennis career. He was truly a people person and was so much fun to chat with over the years and most resently at Hy-Vee on 32nd . street. He will surely be missed by all his friends!

Mona, Karen & Doug. Heart goes out to each of you. A true gentlemen!! Always great conversation. Flip

So sad to hear today about Dale. I always loved seeing him when he'd come into HyVee! One of my favorite customers!

Mona and family, so sorry to hear of you loss. Dale was one of the good guys. Always thinking of others. A real great man to have called a friend. He will be thought of fondly forever!

"Mom" Bertrand, Karen, and Doug, So many wonderful memories with your family! Dale ALWAYS treated me like a son (which meant discipline too!). What a great man and role model. While he will be greatly missed, his legacy lives on in Doug, Karen, and his grandchildren. Doug, I love you brother! Your family is in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy to Mona and family, I grew up in the same Ellis Blvd. neighborhood, and went high school as Dale. Then some fifty plus years later we meet again as starters at Gardner golf course. Dale was my Summer golfing partner for the last seven or eight years. I really enjoyed his friendship. A life well lived. Rest in peace my friend

A pleasant, kind, mild mannered, gentleman is our rememberance of Dale. A friendship with Dale and Mona that goes back to Soutter Ct. Our condolences to Mona, Doug and Karen on your loss.

Mona, Karen, and Doug, We were deeply saddened to learn of your recent loss of such a loved one. We extend our deepest sympathies to your fine family.........

Dearest Aunt Mona, Karen, Doug and family. Our Deepest Condolences for the loss of your loving husband, best friend, dad, grandfather and uncle. We will never forget my Uncle Dale. I loved him so much. He was so easy to talk to, always telling interesting stories, just like my dad!! He will always have a special place in my heart. Love always, Janet and Matt

I'm so sorry to hear of Dale's death. So many great memories of the Soutter Court days. Wouldn't it be fun if we could have one of those days back with the good times we had together? So many memories of our kids together having their fun . We will always remember Dale with a smile and a good memory.

We are so very sorry for your loss.

Having just learned of Dale's passing I recalled first meeting Dale with his coffee group regularly at then downtown Bishops. It was always a great conversation and later would run into him at Gardner where he was always upbeat and just a fun person to be around. I also recall playing a couple of sets with him at the Memorial Tennis courts where he dominated with that great left handed serve. Scott McLeod
