Dear Al, Ellen and family-I was shocked and saddened to read of Joy's death- my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am so saddened to hear of Joy's death. She was such a wonderful student of mine at McKinley Middle School. A beautiful young girl and I remember her kindness, her quiet demeanor and skills in math. God's peace be with you.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I do not know you, but I had Joy as a water aerobics instructor and just loved her teaching. I will pray for your family.

So very sorry about Joy. She was truly such an amazing young lady, so enthusiastic and extremely caring for others. She was a math tutor for my daughter Molly, and we loved having her in our home. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Blessings, Melanie

I knew Joyous for barely a month but her enthusiasm was contagious. She readily shared and genuinely wanted her students to grow. I miss her spirit tremendously. We did a photo shoot the on Christmas Eve, and I would like to get images to her family.

Fisher family, my heart is deeply saddened by the news of our childhood friend Joy. Many prayers for healing, and peace. ??

Al & Ellen, I was so sorry to learn about Joy. I had the opportunity to connect with her last Spring when she and Scott did a demostration at Mount Mercy. While I remembered her as a young child, she had transformed into an amazing woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and those close to Joy.

Al: I am so sorry about the loss of your daughter–the photo shows a lovely and vibrant young woman. May you and your family find comfort in faith and friends during this sad time and the days ahead.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

To the family and Friends of Joyous, My heart aches for you. Joyous was an inspiration to me. I enjoyed watching her perform her acrobatics. She moved with such elegance as she performed moves that required such great strength. For me, Joyous left a legacy of inspiration. She has inspired me to honor God with my body, and challenge myself to new levels of fitness with the vitality and joy that she always had. I will remember Joyous whenever I see a ballerina or acrobat, silks flowing through the air; I will remember her when I perform yoga or bar, and when I walk through the studio at the M.A.C. She will be missed dearly. Sincerely, Amanda Rosalez

Dear Al and Ellen, I am so sorry about Joy's death. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to lose a daughter, my heartfelt sympathy is with you. I am sure she is at peace now with no more stresses.

Dear Al and Ellen, I just wanted to say that I'm still thinking of you and praying for you both.

I am sorry for your family loss. I am one of the photographers who had the pleasure of working with Joy. I do not remember how I first contacted Joy for our first photo shoot but once it was finished I knew I had worked with a very special young lady. She was full of fun, life, ideas and loved what she did working as a model. We did several photo shoots together and I had several others planned out. Joy worked with me when a lot of other Iowa models were to busy or did not not want to shoot. Both of us saw the same spark in each other and we worked well together. I know that Joy was very happy when she got her own studio opened up and running. Joy was more then just a model that I worked with, she was a true friend and a special person. She is greatly missed and I know that she is waiting to work together again.

Dear Ellen and Al, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless. You are on our churches prayer circle.
