Keith Jungjohann, 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17th at 10AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  Visitation will be on Thursday, February 16th from 5-7PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Burial will be following funeral services at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Keith was born on April 6, 1953 to Ralph and Irene (Hamer) Jungjohann in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Koon on October 12, 1992 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  Keith loved being in the outdoors, spending his time at the cabin in Wisconsin trout fishing, riding horses and motorcycles, flying down the zip line, and building the “best” bonfires.  He was known by many as the “animal whisperer”, befriending animals from pigeons to horses, even humans.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; children: James (Larinda) Jungjohann, Jennifer (Tray) Campbell, Naia Tilghman, and Whitney Jungjohann; grandchildren: Jensyn, Jaelyn, Jade, Mia, and Roman; his brother Steve Jungjohann; and 5 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gary, and his sister Linda.

Memorials may be made to the family for donation to be determined at a later date.
