Gloria Mae Lewis, 88 of Cedar Rapids died Friday February 17, 2017 at Keystone Place in North Liberty. Services at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may call after 9:00 AM on Tuesday. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters Linda (Larry) Bergdale and Diane (Joe) Miller all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Stacy (Howard) Friedman, Amy (Andrew) Hamilton, Scott (Alissa) Bergdale, Steven (Chelsi) Miller, Thomas (Megan) Miller, Megan Miller, and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin, Norman and Roger Hesson and one sister Sharon Hesson.

Gloria was born on April 24, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Calvin and Marjorie Gardner Hesson. She was in purchasing at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after many years of service. After retirement she was a shuttle driver for Saturn until she was 80 years old.

She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church. Gloria was a very close to her beloved family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf  Hospice House of Mercy.
