Memorial

Dean E. McCleary, 71, of Marion died Monday, September 12, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center. Services at 1:00 PM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment with military rites at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three daughters Michele (Jay) Lash of Vinton, Shannon (Brady) Hite of Marion and Erin (Rob) Ramoska of Peoria, Illinois; a sister Arlys Huff of Springville; and two brothers, Marland (Carolyn) of Marion and Dayle (Linda) of Springville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Matt, Robert, Isaac, Jacob and Reilley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Elijah.

Dean was born on April 20, 1945 in Springville the son of Raymond and Nellie French McCleary. He graduated from Springville High School in 1963. Dean married Patricia E. Roche on June 15, 1974 in Springville. He was an assembly mechanic at C.R. Inc. for over 45 years retiring in 2009. 

Dean proudly served in the Marine Reserves. Family was very important to Dean. His greatest joys were spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and watching T.V. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established in Dean’s name.
